Green is The Word, Act IX

Green New Year to everyone!

The High Priest is back in black and ready to worship
all that is green, whether it's work related or not.
There are many things outside of our work environment
which deserve our attention as far as green awareness
goes. Of course, EcoTimber will continue to tranform
into "deep green", but The Word will spread out to
inform of the latest and greatest...

But based on what I'm seeing, I believe we need a
refresher on the recycling in our office, so I'll give
a brief review.

Everyone has easy access to a ROUND garbage can and a
RECTANGULAR recyling bin. Each bin is labeled to avoid
confusion.

The ONLY items that go in the recycling bin are PAPER
products. This doesn't include the plastic lid found
on those DEVIL-WORSHIPPING coffee cups that have
infiltrated our office. Those lids go into the "out of
sight, out of mind" garbage can. Any other recyclable
items, such as glass bottles, aluminum cans, or
plastic containers with a #1 or #2 triangular
recycling symbol, go to the recycling bin in the
kitchen area. Of course, this means that ONLY
recyclable items go into this bin, not garbage. Also,
when recycling an item which previously contained a
liquid or food product, it helps to rinse out the
item before disposing of it, eliminating the
possibility of leakage and smell.
